Summary edit

Description
English: Flamborough Lighthouse, Flamborough, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
Looking south-southeast from the top of a WW2 concrete pillbox on the Selwick Bay cliff top, west of Kindle Scar. The lighthouse at Flamborough was commissioned by Trinity House in 1806 and built at a cost of £8000, with an oil lamp revolved by a clockwork motor. In the 36 years before the lighthouse was built, 175 ships had been wrecked off Flamborough Head. In 1925 the lighthouse was raised to 85 feet (250 feet above sea level) and a 1000 watt halogen lamp was installed in 1992.
