Summary

Description
English: Flash flood in Wither Wood, Denby Dale A small stream, normally dry in summer, flows down the eastern side of Wither Wood. Exceptionally heavy rainfall caused this small lake to form at the southeast corner. Further down the hillside this stream joins up with a similar one that flows down the western side and enters the River Dearne in the valley below. In this view we are facing the footpath that runs along the southeast edge of the wood. The three-trunked willow tree in the middle of the scene was cut down in 1976.
