(April 6, 2012) Firefighters from the Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Fire and Emergency Services and City of Virginia Beach respond to the crash of an F/A-18D Hornet assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 106, April 6, 2012. Initial reports indicate that at approximately 12:05 p.m., the jet crashed just after takeoff at an apartment complex in Virginia Beach.
