YOKOHAMA, Japan (Sept. 1, 2012) Sailors assigned to Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka’s Port Operations Department simulate delivering food, clothing, first aid kits and other items to Japanese disaster workers during the 33rd annual "Bosai Kunren", or disaster prevention training, drill aboard the yard tug USS Puyallup (YT 806) in Yokohama harbor. The training combines disaster response teams from nine locations in Japan. The drill demonstrats how the area will respond to a disaster like the March 11, 2011 earthquake and tsunami that struck northern Japan and illustrated the U.S Navy's role in the relief efforts.
