MAYPORT, Florida. (June 15, 2012) Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV) the Honorable Ray Mabus announces the first amphibious ready group (ARG) ship scheduled to shift homeport to Naval Station Mayport, Fla., will arrive in the last quarter of calendar year 2013. The San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS New York (LPD 21) will be the first to change homeport, followed by the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7), and the amphibious dock landing ship USS Fort McHenry (LSD 43) in 2014.
