Description

General William E. Ward, commander of U.S. Africa Command (left), receives a Lifetime Leadership Award from Mr. Albert Dotson, junior chairman of the 100 Black Men of America, during the organization's gala in New York City on June 13, 2009. Ward is the only active-duty, four-star African-American general and is only the fifth African-American to achieve this rank.
