Description

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, flanked by Army children, ceremonially signs Alaska House Bill 137 at Fort Richardson, Alaska, June 18. The measure allows the state to join the Interstate Compact on Opportunities for Military Children, which was created last year to ease the educational transitions of military children and their families as they move to new assignments.
