Description

The 2011 Capitol Christmas Tree is seen during light testing on the West Front Lawn of the U.S. Capitol on Monday December 5, 2011. The tree will be officially lit on Tuesday December 6, during its lighting ceremony and remained lit from night fall until 11 p.m. each evening through Sunday January 1, 2012.

This year's tree is a 65-foot Sierra white fir from California’s Stanislaus National Forest.
