A sad and sorry state. how could they allow such a lovely vessel rot before their eyes, Never more to roam the seas. Too many holes in her now. This used to be used as a ferryboat from the Isle of Wight to the mainland. Classic paddle-boat steamer design. The MV Ryde. Finished service in the 1960s . Was then brought here and used as a night club. They have tried to raise cash for a rennovation but to no avail. Destined for the scrapyard soon. Picture taken at the marina near Newport IOW. |
