Description
English: The flood that occurred in Piedmont region of Italy in October 2000 was one of the worst floods to hit the Po River in recent times. The flood hit the area between October 13 and 17, 2000. Heavy rainfall mainly affected the north of the region in the areas of Val di Susa, Valli di Lanzo, Canavese, Ossola, and the entire Valle d'Aosta region, thus involving the entire Po River basin, which produced a secular flood along with all of its left tributaries. When the events were over, the toll was 23 deaths, 128 injured, 11 missing, and about 40,000 displaced. See https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alluvione_del_Piemonte_del_2000
