Summary edit

Description
English: This image, acquired by one of the Copernicus Sentinel-2 satellites on 13 January 2022, shows flooded areas near the city of Larissa, the largest city in the Thessaly region of Greece. Storm Diomides brought heavy snowfall and heavy rain over Greece, caused severe disruption and at least two casualties. Many rivers overflowed, and several mountain villages were temporarily inaccessible due to the important snow cover. The data captured by the Copernicus satellites are particularly valuable for monitoring flooded areas during extreme weather events.
