Mēhamehame Phyllanthaceae Endemic to the Hawaiian Islands IUCN: Critically Endangered Oʻahu (Cultivated)

These are green fruits.

This is one of the rarest trees in Hawaiʻi.

Early Hawaiians used the very hard wood to make weapons.

The main cause in their declining numbers is due to the black twig borer (Xylosandrus compactus).
