Norsk bokmål: Kopiert fra Riksarkivets Flickr-album «15. Flyktninger i arbeid», fotografier valgt ut fra «NTBs krigsarkiv - bilder av nordmenn i Sverige under 2. verdenskrig»:
«Å få flyktningene i arbeid eller utdanning var en prioritert oppgave for både svenske og norske myndigheter. 12. desember 1941 innførte norske myndigheter arbeidsplikt for alle nordmenn i utlendighet. I Sverige ble det satt i verk omfattende arbeidsmarkedstiltak og skaffet arbeid i skog, på veianlegg, i jordbruk, i industri og håndverk. Skogsarbeid sysselsatte de langt fleste, på det meste var det 6-7000 norske menn i arbeid i svensk skogbruk. Norske kvinner hadde hele tiden lett for å få seg noe å gjøre, særlig da husarbeid, men mange kom også over i industrien eller til kafeer og hoteller.»
