Summary
editDescriptionFlyover site near Dromore (1) - geograph.org.uk - 1414105.jpg |
English: Flyover site near Dromore (1). The road between Sprucefield 603181 and Loughbrickland 457972 was built, in the 1970's, as an all purpose dual carriageway with right and "U" turns allowed. There are also numerous gaps in the central reservation to allow right turns from private lanes and individual houses.
Five grade-separated junctions have been (or are being) built and a few gaps have been closed in recent years - see 1386810, 368436, 1308762, 1386982 and 1400303. Another four are planned over the next nine years, including one here at Mullan's Corner 234458, south of Dromore. This is the view towards Banbridge at the staggered crossroads where the Gowdystown Road (partly a "B" road and partly an unclassified road - connecting Waringsford and Blackskull) crosses the Belfast - Dublin road. Continue to 1415089. |
