Description
Deutsch: Zu den Seidenpflanzengewächsen (Asclepiadoideae) zählende Fockea capensis im Sonnenuhrhaus (Wüstenhaus) in Schönbrunn, angeblich älteste in gärtnerischer Pflege befindliche sukkulente Pflanze der Welt. Sie stammt vom Aufenthalt der kaiserlichen Gärtner Franz Boos (1753–1832) und Georg Scholl (1751–1831) in der niederländischen Kapkolonie in den Jahren 1786 bis 1788 bzw. 1799.
