Datada de 1674, a Fonte de Ançã tem um caudal de 20640 litros por minuto. De "chapuz"e forma quadrada, coberta por abóboda com telhado e sustentada por 3 arcos e cunhais rusticados, ostenta o brasão dos Castros, pertencente ao Marquês de Cascais, Senhor da Vila de Ançã.

Junto dos muros que rodeiam este recinto, existem bancadas capeadas de pedra, que serviam de poiais aos cântaros de vinte litros e aos canecos de madeira com que as moças levavam água para as suas casas, e bancos para os moços que sequestravam as esbeltas raparigas ou as esperavam ao entardecer, para o namoro combinado ou para lhes matarem a sede com a água fresquinha bebida dos próprios cântaros, que depois ajudavam a pôr à cabeça, num gesto de galanteria cavalheiresca. <a href="http://www.rotadabairrada.pt/irt/show/fonte-dos-castros_pt_290" rel="nofollow">www.rotadabairrada.pt/irt/show/fonte-dos-castros_pt_290</a>
