English: Footpath off Brookfoot Lane, Southowram This is the medieval road, in the days when the roads round here were only packhorse tracks not fit for vehicles. The present Brookfoot Lane, with an easier gradient (1 in 6) had already been constructed by 1850. The bottom end of this path now passes through a modern factory yard. |
