English: This sound file recorded a classroom edition of Sir Beethoven's Solo piano work - Für Elise by myself. In my teaching experiences, the need was from many of my students in practices who would like to take this piece into their favorite list or to join Solo Piano Grand Prix. Afterwards, I knew it was very popular in piano kids' eyes. For further information, such as the identity of Elise in Beethoven's heart..., please refer to this article (Wikipedia introduction: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Für_Elise). In my impression, 'Für Elise' somehow standed for 'easy-going' Pop-classics in China piano education and family
I would like to share two points of my musical understanding: 1. though a little bit smaller in paragraph, Beethoven always has a complex in his compositions - setting a idealist & heroism view of Heaven for releasing his pains in his works. B section, in my minds, was the one, and the tail of C section - 'a chromatic descent over two octaves' can be seen as self-releasing from a struggling fate... He usually did so, evenly since my childhood performance of his Sonata No.11. We can call it romanticism; 2. He also preferred to put a 'struggling fate' in front of your face, which was a deep realism that he could feel his existence after many sufferings. C section can be seen as so, and also his up-raising freedom-spirit from one kind of total emotional unsureness under the depression & fatal controlling. Including 'the 3rd movement of Moonlight', in my life, I played few Beethovens which wasn't because of my disliking of them. Rather, I felt a little bit fear to play. My personalities used to be quite near his - easier anger & sad, so sensitive and strongly struggling for better... My Educational background told me this. Therefore, for long, I prefered to play some naturist & impressionist melodies to coordinate them, and try to appriciate some beauties outdooring our society, rather than struggling for some unrealities inside societal relationships. By the way, I can remember the first one who introduced Für Elise to my childhood and further life is Richard Clayderman (Wikipedia introduction: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Clayderman). He was for popularizing classical music to many common people and learners, whose life style used to be like a 'prince's' dreamed in my little brain - travelling around many cities for performances and having made many recordings... Here and now, let me re-picked up this work from and for my own learners... Hopefully, you enjoy it! Jason M. C., Han (talk) 13:42, 27 September 2018 (UTC) |
