The streets are covered in fresh snow, yesterday's footprints and wheelmarks are gone. Gone are fallen flowers, dead leaves and pelted stones. Snow covers it all - love, hate, anger, sorrow. Today is a clean slate. Sometimes the clean slate is not desired. It is forced upon you. Forget yesterday's atrocities. Forget the students beaten up. Forget the mob lynching. Forget the 42 dead in Delhi. Forget the journalists and poets charged with sedition while hate speeches go unchecked. Forget the officials transferred for raising voice. Lets pretend as if nothing is wrong, and get on with a new day.
