Description Decorative gable at the former Cobden Road Public Slipper Baths, Cobden Road, Hanover, Brighton, City of Brighton and Hove, England. Built in 1894 at the junction of Cobden Road and Islingword Road as a public bath-house for the densely populated Hanover area. The baths closed in 1976 and were converted into Hanover Community Centre. When this moved to its new home at 33 Southover Street in 1982, the building was briefly used as a resource centre before being converted into flats in 1985–86.
