Description
English: As seen on a foggy December 2022 afternoon, the label scar of what was once the sign in the front of the Kowalkowski Bakery remains visible on the building at 136 Walden Avenue (corner Rohr Street), in the Humboldt Park neighborhood of Buffalo, New York's East Side despite the business having been defunct for decades. A longtime neighborhood fixture, the bakery was owned and operated by Sigmund and Florence Kowalkowski for over 50 years, ending with his retirement in 1975.
