English: Former World War Two Defences, West Beach There are a number of these traps stretching from here to Elmer. The low lying beach was deemed vulnerable to possible invasion though it was also used as a training area by the Allied forces in the run up to D Day. The lane to the right of the traps is a private drive linking Atherington with The Mill. |
