| Description |
English: Former railway trackbed, Sharptor. Section of the trackbed of the former mineral railway at Sharptor, north of the Cheesewring. The trackbed forms the enlarged level right hand bank of the road/track here for a short length, looking south east. The railway was extended to serve former quarries and potential mines on east Bodmin Moor. The line split just west of this point. One branch extended to Kilmar Tor quarry SX248747, the other headed up the Withy Brook into Smallacombe Downs where further extension was abandoned. |
