Summary edit

Description
English: Arch of Septimius Severus (193 – 211 biennium), who won the struggle for power and became the first soldier's Emperor. At this time, the Roman Senate lost its importance, and the Emperor began to get soldiers. The arch was built in 203 not only in honor of the Emperor, but also his sons: Geta and Caracalla. But Caracalla murdered his brother in his mother's arms, and then ordered to destroy all the inscriptions on the arch dedicated to his brother. The reliefs on the arch depict scenes from the Emperor's campaigns against the Arabs and Parthians.
