| Description |
English: Forres 2nd railway station (site), Moray, 2015 Opened in 1863 by the Inverness & Aberdeen Junction Railway on what is today the line from Aberdeen to Inverness, this replaced an earlier 1858 station around 400m north east, behind the camera position. At one time this was a triangular junction which also offered travel to the south via Aviemore. View west towards Brodie and Inverness. In 2017, a new, 3rd station was opened (see NJ0259 : Forres railway station, Moray), close to the 1858 station site, and all trace of this one has since been removed. |
