Español: Grabado de 1707ː La fuente de la puerta del Sol ("Place et Fontaine du sol a Madrid" 1665-1668), a partir de un original de Louis Meunier, dibujante y grabador francés (activo 1660-1670).[1][2]. Copia de 1707 para una monografía del historiador Juan Álvarez de Colmenar.[3] Ha recibido diferentes nombres, 'fuente de la Puerta del Sol' y 'fuente del Buen Suceso' por encontrarse en esa plaza de Madrid y frente al Hospital del Buen Suceso, ya desaparecido; 'fuente de la Mariblanca, de Venus o de Diana' (según qué cronista), por la estatua que coronaba su estructura; 'fuente de las Arpías', por las extrañas figuras que circundaban su pedestal. English: Fountain of the Harpies (also called Fountain of the Faith), was a fountain located in the Puerta del Sol, in Madrid.[4]. Engraved copy in 1707. |
