Summary

edit
Description
English: "This framework is conceptual only and not intended as a complete representation of infant and young child feeding systems; we acknowledge infant and young child feeding practices other than either breastfeeding and commercial feeding, including for example, feeding one's own or another woman's breastmilk from a cup or bottle, breastfeeding by a person other than the mother, feeding other liquid or home-prepared complementary (solid) foods, and mixed CMF and breastfeeding. We use the term breastfeeding women, acknowledging that lactating women besides the mother (eg, family members) also breastfeed infants and young children, except in instances where we cite studies that specifically use the term mothers. CMF=commercial milk formula."
