En mai 1830, mon père donne au Palais-Royal une grande fête en l'honneur du Roi de Naples. L'illumination avait attiré dans le jardin une foule immense, animée, qui faisait entendre toute sorte de cris confus. Charles X se présenta à cette foule en lui criant: 'Bonjour mon peuple !'
[In May 1830, my father gave a great celebration at the Palais-Royal in honor of the King of Naples. The illumination had drawn a huge, lively crowd into the garden, which made all kinds of confused cries heard. Charles X introduced himself to this crowd, shouting: 'Hello my people!']
