Franz I. im Harnisch und Lorbeerkarnz, Maria Theresia im gelben Kleid und Lorbeerkranz sowie Hermelinumhang. Queroval. Windt S. 44 (XI/24) - Ausstellung: Wien, 1905, Nr. 418. Keil 1999, Nr. 28. Porträtminiatur. Wien, Hofburg, Präsidentschaftskanzlei. · In der strengen Profilhaltung entspricht die Komposition antiken Imperatorenporträts auf Schaumünzen und Gemmen. Stilistische Übereinstimmung bestehen zu Arbeiten aus dem Künstlerkreis um Jean Etienne Liotard. Die 1745 erfolgte Krönung Franz Stephans zum Kaiser könnte der unmittelbare Anlass für die Ausführung des Doppelporträts gewesen sein." [1]
