Deutsch: Die markanteste Arbeit des Frankfurter Künstlers Karl Julius Grätz (1843-1912) war die Deckenausschmückung bei der Renovierung mit Bildern der vier Propheten Jesaja, Jeremia, Ezechiel und Daniel und mit 16 betenden Engeln in der Frankfurter Paulskirche von 1892/93, siehe oberen Bildbereich. Auf der Brüstung der Empore wurden vor dem Orgelprospekt Statuen der vier Evangelisten Matthäus, Markus, Lukas und Johannes aufgestellt. Bereits 1833 erhielt das damalige Gotteshaus aus der Werkstatt von Eberhard Friedrich Walcker ein Instrument, das damals als Nonplusultra der Orgelbaukunst gefeiert wurde. Es machte Walcker zu einem der berühmtesten Orgelbauer Deutschlands, der in den folgenden Jahrzehnten mit seinen Instrumenten die Orgellandschaft der Romantik mitprägte. Der Innenraum brannte durch Bombenabwürfe im Zweiten Weltkrieg komplett aus und wurde nur vereinfacht wiederhergestellt.
