Description
English: Fokker F.II of KLM with Dutch registration H-NABC, along with Dutch-built light aircraft Carley C.12a in front and Holland H.1 at right. This Fokker F.II was one of two KLM F.IIs, the first aircraft KLM owned. In this photo, the F.II's original 185 hp (138 kW) BMW IIIa engine has been replaced by a 240 hp (180 kW) Siddeley Puma, with a larger, rectangular radiator and a more prominent exhaust pipe. KLM replaced the engine on both F.IIs for more power, also improving the engine cooling. (This photo is dated to the spring of 1924 by the Holland H.1 with its trapezoidal vertical tail and lack of registration.)
