Description
English: KHIAM. AN INTERESTING NEGATIVE. UNFORTUNATELY MARRED BY A LEAK IN THE MAGAZINE, TAKEN DURING THE ATTACK ON FORT KHIAM. IT SHOWS THE FREE FRENCH LIAISON OFFICER WITH THE AUSTRALIAN FORCES PREPARING TO SIGNAL TO THE FRENCH IN THE FORT TO ASK THEM TO SURRENDER BEFORE FURTHER BLOOD IS SPILT. IT WAS A TOUCHY MOMENT AS THE FRENCH WERE LIKELY TO OPEN FIRE AT ANY MOMENT. CROUCHING BEHIND THE ROCK NEXT TO THE FRENCH OFFICER IS DAMIEN PARER HOPING TO GET A SHOT WITHOUT GETTING SHOT.
