English: The Franco-British fleet in off Cherbourg for the visit of Emperor Napoleon III and Queen Victoria.
Français : Note S.Déniel : photographie souvent légendé comme montrant Cherbourg. Le site de la RMN (http://www.photo.rmn.fr/cf/htm/CPicZ.aspx?E=2C6NU0GGM58T) localise la prise de vue a Brest. A droite on distingue un cap qui est la pointe des espagnoles et a l’arrière-plan l'île des morts. Ce cliché montre la flotte au mouillage en rade de Brest.
