English: The Franco-British fleet in off Cherbourg for the visit of Emperor Napoleon III and Queen Victoria.
Français : Note S.Déniel : photographie souvent légendé comme montrant Cherbourg. A droite on distingue un cap qui est la pointe des espagnoles et a l’arrière du navire au centre les îles treberon et ile des morts. De manière moins évidente, on aperçoit a gauche l'île longue. Ce cliché montre, sans ambiguïté possible, la flotte au mouillage en rade de Brest.
