English: The rectangular bezel of this ring is set with a sardonyx cameo featuring portrait busts of Queen Marie Antoinette of France (1755-93) and her son the Dauphin (1785-95). The cameo is surrounded by a border of diamond sparks in silver mounts (collets). The forked shoulders each enclose a tulip originally set with a crystal and connect to the channeled hoop. |
