Description

NPS/Patrick Myers

March is typically the snowiest month of the year at Great Sand Dunes, and this year is no exception. This week a series of snowstorms have moved through Colorado. Snowpack in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains is currently averaging 125% of average for this date, so Medano Creek is forecast to be at or above average in 2019. Check current and forecast creek conditions on our website: www.nps.gov/grsa/planyourvisit/medano-creek.htm
