Français : Cette peinture murale restaurée récemment s'étale à Nantes sur le mur sud de la maison de quartier "Le Dix", sur 18,50m x 3,70m. Elle rend hommage aux 1300 Acadiens installés en Nouvelle-France et chassés par les Anglais. Cet exode forcé est appelé : "Le grand dérangement" Un roman d'Antoine Maillet raconte cette histoire : Pélagie-La-Charette.
Ces pauvre gens arrivent en France alors que l'extrème pauvreté et le mal-logement rendent les conditions de vie extrêmement difficiles. Il faudra attendre 1785 : la Louisiane devient espagnole, et un accord entre la France et l'Espagne vont créer les conditions favorables pour que ces populations retrouvent leur pays. La fresque montre les familles observant les bateaux dans le port. Pour eux c'est enfin le retour sur leur terres . |
