English: Friarton Bridge on M90 over River Tay This bridge was constructed by Freeman,Fox & Partners 1975 -78 as a crucial part of the M90 crossing the River Tay and bypassing the City of Perth. It consists of 2 parallel box girders and is approx. 0.8 km long with a principal span of 174 metres high over the River Tay to allow ships to pass below on passage to the harbour at Perth one mile further upstream. The loop at the north end connects with traffic to and from the A85. |
