  • Horst Wessel (* 1907; † 1930) war in Berlin ein Sturmführer der SA, der paramilitärischen Kampforganisation der NSDAP. Nachdem Wessel von KPD-Mitgliedern getötet worden war, stilisierte ihn die NS-Propaganda zu einem „Märtyrer der Bewegung“.
