DescriptionFrom the Archives (50496166143).jpg |
Amsterdam City Archives. Housed in a building called De Bazel, after Dutch architect Karel de Bazel. It was built from 1919 to 1926 as the head office of the Nederlandsche Handel-Maatschappij. De Bazel died before the building was finished. See en:De Bazel. The style is called Brick Expressionism. I wonder why? |
