Summary edit

Description
English: Frosted window, nature's version of net curtains Sometimes referred to as 'window frost' or 'fern frost'.) It forms when a glass pane is exposed to very cold air on the outside (in this case around -5C) and moderately moist air on the inside. Water vapour condenses on the glass forming these fantastic patterns. This can even happen on double glazed windows, usually near the bottom, when there is a very low temperatures outside, due to air convection between the two panes. The bottom part of the glazed unit is always colder than the top.
