Description
Deutsch: Schloss Fuchsberg 1796, Ausschnitt aus einer Votivtafel in der Kapelle St. Jakob bei Fuchsberg. Das Schloss Fuchberg befand sich im 14. Jahrhundert im Besitz der Zenger, später folgten die Muracher, Satzenhofer und die Grafen von Taufkirchen. Rechts im Bild die Burgruine Wildstein. Die Grafen von Taufkirchen ließen die Jakobikirche bei Fuchsberg errichten. Hintergrund der privaten Kirchenstiftung war ein Gelübde. Die Stifter hatten den Hl. Jakobus gebeten, ihren Sohn in den Türkenkriegen vor Verwundung und Tod zu beschützen. Als sich die Bitte erfüllte, wurde die Kirche 1766 (andere Quellen nennen das Jahr 1749) erbaut.
