Summary
editDescriptionFuel Gas System - geograph.org.uk - 606162.jpg |
English: Fuel Gas System. The two vessels shown here were part of the Fuel Gas System of Shell Haven Oil Refinery.
The vessel behind the wall to the left is an emergency vaporiser. See 606054 The smaller vertical vessel is V11, a Propane vaporiser to help maintain pressure in the system should there be a shortfall from the process units. Steam was used to allow vaporisation. The Propane was pumped to it from Propane Spheres. See 605860 The larger vessel is V10, a Fuel Gas Knock Out Pot. Its job was to remove any liquid left in the gas from the process units. |
