Description
Español: Fuente del Águila: atribuida al escultor Giovanni Angelo Montorsoli fue encargada por Felipe II para el Jardín de la Casa de Campo de Madrid, donde se encontraba instalada en 1584. Su cuerpo central se trasladó a la Universidad de El Escorial en 1895.

Con motivo del IV Centerario del fallecimiento del rey Felipe II la Sociedad Estatal para la conmemoración de los Centenarios de Felipe II y Carlos V financió y la restauración y reproducción completa de esta Fuente.

La reproducción, conforme al modelo original, se instaló en le Claustrro de esta Universidad en septiembre del año 2000.
