Auch Fuji hatte sie im Programm, genauso wie Canon, Pentax oder Olympus: die sogenannten "Point & Shoot"-Kameras mit Zoom. Wobei das gar nicht so schnell ging, wie es diese Bezeichnung versprach - Autofokus und Zoom verzögerten das Auslösen merkbar.

Die Ausstattung war bei allen diesen Apparaten ähnlich: Autofokus, motorischer Filtransport und -rückspulung, diverse Belichtungs- und Blitzprogramme.

Bei dieser Fuji waren durch einen Panorama-Adapter auch ganz breite Aufnahmen (13 x 36 mm) möglich, dabei wurde aber nur das Negativ oben und unten beschnitten. Der Programmverschluss steuerte Zeiten von 1/9 bis 1/350 Sekunde, die kürzeste Aufnahmeentfernung war 1,3 m.

Zumindest bei den Markengeräten liefert die Optik scharfe Bilder, allerdings lässt die Lichtstärke bei ausgefahrenem Tele stark nach, nur noch Blende 8,2 – ein 400-ISO-Film ist also empfehlenswert.

Auf den Markt kam die Fuji DL-1000 Zoom im Jahr 1993.
