As makeshift, the 97 years old funicular of the power station Amsteg will be put into operation again. This has already been done in 2003 in a similar situation. Since then it was not used anymore. Tests and repairs have to be done now first. Also the cable is radiographed and it takes a few more days. When a worker climbs onto the large deflection pulley, he has to be sure that no one turns on the engine. If everything is satisfactory, 20 passengers and 1 accompanying staff can be transported per ride from the middle of next week. The cable car has a length of 410 meters and a maximum gradient of 92%.
