REMARK: Leighla G. Furness was born in 1888 and died in 1963. She was the daughter of Leigh Graves Furness and Mary Jessie (Barnard) Furness. Leighla's grandfather, Edwin Leigh Furness, was the founder of Furnessville, Porter County, Indiana. Leighla was a graduate of Menominee High School in Menominee, Menominee County, Wisconsin, and the Stout Institute of Domestic Science, also located in Menominee. In 1912, Leighla was employed as an instructor in domestic science in the schools of Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio. She married William L. Pringle on April 22, 1917, in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. The Pringles resided at 2215 West 110th Place in Chicago, the Morgan Park neighborhood, for much of their lives.
