Description
English: Heavy cruiser Furutaka with heavy cruiser Kinugasa in background. According to installation of degaussing cables, three white stripes on forward funnel and two E7K2 on board this picture should be taken in early November 1941. Note the main gun fire command room and rangefinder room installed on the top of the bridge.
Čeština: Těžký křižník Furutaka s těžkým křižníkem Kinugasa v pozadí. Podle instalovaných demagnetizačních cívek (instalovány v druhé polovině září 1941), třech bílých pruhů na komíně (neseny mezi zářím a 15. listopadem 1941) a dvou hydroplánů E7K2 (nesenými opět od listopadu 1941) byla tato fotografie pořízena v první polovině listopadu 1941. Všimněte si otočné věže zaměřovače hlavní baterie a dálkoměru již instalované na vrcholku můstku a způsobu uložení hydroplánů: jeden je umístěn na katapultu, zatímco druhý na vozíku na zadní nástavbě.
