Afrikaans: Ronsberg
Want so berig die legende was die "DUIWELSKOMBUIS" ten einde. Deutsch: Ronsberg

When many a hundred years ago wild animals and bears here abound a man chose as safe refuge this place for his wife and child. As he knew not a house he then dug a cave for himself. They lived well in those days he went hunting with bow and arrow. Lots of young game and fresh fish he brought to his rock kitchen. At night when it was cold and bright with stars they found warmth on the bearskin. So they lived here for many years healthy and without worry or plague. They had berry wine to drink and in that way evil managed its way in. The juice of the blue cherries, poisonous, had carried away woman and child before the poison gnawed him too him uttering bitter words in resentment. And so, according to legend, the "DEVIL'S KITCHEN" was at an end. |
