The training event is part of Exercise Fused Response 2012, a joint Guyana - U.S. military exchange between members of the Guyana Defense Force and U.S. military. This exercise is aimed at improving interoperability and increase capacity among the participating forces. Special Operations Command South serves as the executive agent for this exercise.
